Labor Day Fun in Buena Park, CA – 2010

Labor Day Fun in Buena Park, CA – 2010
Yes, it’s hot again and it’s supposed to hit 105 this holiday weekend. Perfect for late afternoon dips in the swimming pool and evening walks with the dog. I remember being excited about school starting again in the fall, but wishing summer could last just a bit longer. This season I’m not so sure because the heat just refuses to break!
Many kids this year went back to school already at the beginning of August. As a parent of 3, I feel like summer just started so it’s hard to see all of our friends heading back so early but times are certainly changing.
Fortunately, there is a chance for one last hurrah in summer fun department. Even though school started at the beginning of August for most in the area, kids and parents can look forward to a long holiday weekend that Labor Day brings. This helps ease the transition and gives the kids something to look forward to during their first week at school. Particularly if your child has some apprehension (first day jitters) or difficulty adjusting to the new routine, providing her or him with a fun-filled holiday weekend may be just the thing to keep them going and keep them motivated to hit the books when they should.
With the economy still in a mess, we like to stay close to home. Even a trip to the beach can be costly given gas prices so sticking with something within a few miles is just easiest and most cost effective for us.
With the heat, we need to find fun things to do with the kids indoors. Somewhere that is air-conditioned and conveniently has everything we need in one place.
Where do we go? Our whole family has a great time at John’s Incredible Pizza Co. complete with their all you can eat buffet, wine and beer for adults (2 drink limit), special themed dining rooms, and a huge game and rides room.
But what we like most about John’s is basic convenience and a cost that is reasonable. Parking has never been a problem, in fact, you’ll be just a couple minutes from the door. Plus, if there is a line to get in, that is established inside the building so you don’t have to deal with the blistering heat.
The cost is the other factor that really helps, it’s just cheap to go there given it’s an all-you-can-eat buffet of pizza, pasta and salad.
This Labor Day we suggest giving John’s Pizza in Buena Park, CA a try!

John’s Incredible Pizza in Buena Park, CA has been open for about a year now. We’ve gone many times since it opened and thought we’d share what we really like about it.
Let’s start with the food. It’s important to have a great selection of food for your guests, employees and of course, kids. You can’t please everyone but John’s comes very close. Their all-you-can-eat buffet
is the best I’ve seen anywhere. It includes a Pizza Bar with every topping you can imagine where the kitchen is constantly replenishing the supply so it’s always fresh and hot. Our personal favorite is the pesto pizza but you might try their peanut butter pizza. It’s incredible and definitely worth a try. Whatever your favorite pizza, John’s will have it.
If you’re not a fan of pizza or craving something different the day you visit then you’re covered. John’s offers a full pasta and salad bar with fresh toppings and a multitude of pasta dishes. The salad bar is really great and always fresh as they constantly replenish everything.
And last but not least is the dessert bar. Just when you thought you were full you walk by and see fresh baked cakes, cookies and even soft-serve ice cream with all the toppings and it’s still all-you-can-eat. Our kids like to play with the soft serve ice cream, maybe not a good idea!
Drinks come from a row of soda fountains and include all of the beverage favorites but there are also options for coffee, tea and of course water. If you’re craving a beer or glass of wine, they offer that too. There’s a two-drink maximum during standard business hours for obvious reasons. John’s can accommodate corporate and other large parties so just contact them if that is what you’re seeking.
So for any type of party whether it be a kid’s birthday party, fundraiser, or group party you know the food is sufficiently covered. But what about the fun?
If John’s is anything it’s fun. If you haven’t been to one of John’s Pizza’s many California locations it could be difficult to imagine what it’s like inside. This is why we love their interactive tour. You can actually take a look at everything they have to offer before you even get there. It’s really cool so give it a try!
Fun World is just that, a very large indoor area with rides, games, prizes and other fun things to do. The rides range from bumper cars to the spinning twister and even glow golf. It’s not just fun for kids but also for adults. This type of fun indoor environment can easily consume a day for your party or event.

Fourth of July Fireworks – Buena Park, CA – Fun Things For The Kids

Fourth of July Fireworks – Buena Park, CA – Fun Things For The Kids
The 4th of July is just days away, which means we are getting deep into the Summer and fun, free time with the kids.
We’ve already set out our blankets and chairs for the parade and are en route to buy tickets for the Fireworks show in Buena Park, CA. These are the two most fun things I remember as a kid so we’re passing it down to ours.
Fortunately, the holiday falls on a Sunday so the entire weekend can be a huge celebration. And remember that many businesses will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday to plan accordingly.
So we have Sunday day and night taken care of but what about Friday and Saturday? The kids need something to do and given temperatures are predicted to be very high, it should be something that is primarily indoors.
We’ve gone to John’s Incredible Pizza for birthday parties, events and just plain fun but they’re also a great option for holiday weekends like the 4th of July.
Here’s what we love about John’s Incredible Pizza in Buena Park, CA:
1. John’s Incredible Pizza is giant! You’re not going to run out of space or fun things to do here. John’s is easily the largest indoor play area for kids (or adults) anywhere. Now you can even take an interactive look
at what a typical John’s Pizza is like on the inside. If you’ve never been to a John’s Pizza, you’ll be surprised.
2. John’s has many indoor rides and games. These are real indoor rides for kids including the coolest bumper car setup we’ve seen anywhere.
3. They have interactive and fun video and other games
4. Multiple themed dining rooms. Themes range from music videos to cartoons, each is easily the size of a standard restaurant.
5. There is great need for multiple dining rooms due to the all-you-can-eat-buffet. The buffet ties the rides for our favorite part of John’s. Simply said John’s has more pizza flavors than you can imagine, tons of pasta variations and a fantastic salad bar for those seeking a lighter fare. Of course if you dine on the salad bar you’ll have room for the all-you-can-eat dessert section too, which includes soft-serve ice cream, cakes, cookies and more.
So this 4th of July weekend, give John’s Incredible Pizza a try. We’ve been there many times and love it!

Search engine placement has changed drastically since our case study with Google in 2004. The problem with the vast majority of marketing is that it is not only too expensive but it also doesn't work. Our methods are radically different, an avant-garde approach that not only brings business to our vendors but also eliminates the confusion of on-line search results.
