Beating the Heat – Stay Indoors in Fresno, CA!
It has been hot this Summer. We’ve already exceeded temperatures of 100 degrees in many California cities and although we’re granted a few cooling off periods each Summer, you can

The Twister
plan on many more hot ones. It’s relatively cool now (90′s) but high temps are on the way again.
If you have a swimming pool you’re guaranteed immediate relief from the Summer heat but eventually the kids will want to mix it up a bit and get away from the house. Remember, for most Summer vacation is out due to lack of funds, but half-day and one-day activities are in as they’re more cost effective while providing a much needed get away from work and home.
If you’re looking to consume a half or full day, you’ll need something with extensive offerings and lots of variety. Our choice has been John’s Incredible Pizza Company because they take care of the food, the fun and even provide a little break for the parents.
John’s has the best food set up for kids and adults anywhere. John’s offers the best all-you-can-eat buffet of pizza, pasta, salad and desserts. For each category they offer many toppings, flavors, combinations and choices. The kitchen is constantly bringing out hot pizza while replenishing the salad and pasta bar. Beverages are all-you-can-drink with an option of beer and wine for an extra charge.
John’s is unique in that it is 100% indoors but offers the fun of outdoor style rides and things to do. Our two favorite traditional rides are the twister and the cool bumper car setup they have
. We mix up the ride fun by playing video and other games then take a break from the action with a game of laser tag
. The great part is when the kids get hungry from all the play, you just walk back over to the food side and fill up again. This is one reason why John’s is perfect as an all-day activity for the kids.
John’s is a very active environment, but they still offer quiet and somewhat private seating for dining in their multiple themed rooms. The themes range from cartoons to music videos and one with a more log cabin feel, which is intended to be the most quiet of the bunch.
Heat is on the way again so be ready for a cool break at John’s Incredible Pizza in Fresno.

The Massive Pizza Bar!
Fourth of July falls on a Sunday this year, are you ready? To have a great, safe fireworks event visit the County of Fresno, CA website
for the latest information.
Do you have plans for the Friday or Saturday yet? We have a great idea, visit John’s Incredible Pizza, which is great for holiday events, birthdays and even corporate meetings. We’ve done them all and it’s been an incredible venue.
Summer birthdays and events are great. The days are longer, and there just seems to be something magical and carefree about summertime. Between swimming lessons and playdates with our playgroup friends we like to keep our kids engaged and active throughout the summer. But it isn’t always easy. Summer weather in Southern California isn’t always as predictable as we’d like it to be. One week we’ll have a heat wave, while the next we’ll have wind, rain and even thunderstorms. This can make planning an event tricky. Our fingers are crossed for the fireworks though!
When planning any event, particularly one as special as a 4th of July fun, you’ll have to choose the right venue to ensure it’s right for everyone. Do you have an outdoor party and subject everyone to possible sweltering heat? Or plan a pool party and then end up with overcast, even monsoon type weather? Either way, if you’re doing it at home or the park there’s a ton of party preparation and set-up and more clean-up afterward. Providing your friends with food and fun can be a tall order. Making sure the weather cooperates is impossible.
However, planning your event at the right venue can make sure your party is a big hit, and as a bonus make your life a whole lot easier. John’s Incredible Pizza Co. offers party packages that can accomplish these goals. This type of party takes the anxiety out of planning your next event. You call and reserve your date, send out invitations and make sure you show up at the date of the party. The party leaders at John’s Pizza take care of all of the party room set-up and keep the kids entertained and having fun. The food is buffet style with something everyone will enjoy from salad to pasta and pizza. The games are all inside, including some pretty spectacular indoor activities like glow miniature golf, bowling, and bumper cars. Best of all, when the party is over John’s takes care of the clean-up and you get to go home, relax, and enjoy some family time before the other 4th of July events.
Here are a few reasons we really enjoy John’s Incredible Pizza:
1. The All-you-can-eat-buffet of pizza, pasta, salad, dessert and fountain drinks
2. Beer and wine are available at an additional charge with a two drink limit
3. Multiple themed rooms about the size of a standard restaurant that will take care of any mood you may be in
4. Rides, fun and games that are relevant for very young ones all the way up to adults
5. Fun promotions

John’s Incredible Pizza Co. – Fresno, CA
Memorial Day 2010 is almost here, just a week away, which means Summer heat is almost here too!
California heat can be unbearable for outdoor activities during the Summer months. Heat is not the only problem though. Wind, rain and even cold weather can force children’s activities indoors but that is pretty rare over the Summer.
Regardless of the blistering heat, the kids still need fun things and activities to keep them busy. Many of these activities will need to be indoors to battle the intense California Summer heat and even the wind and cooler weather during the winter months.
While raising our three kids, we came up with some ideas to keep the kids happy while also keeping them out of the elements. A good start is with arts and crafts. There are hundreds of ideas on-line and supplies can be found at your local big box retailer. If you’re looking for more specialty supplies, consider going on-line to search. Creative arts and crafts for kids can easily keep them busy for an hour or two but likely not more than that.
Eventually though, kids will need to get out for some physical activity. There are many sports offered through the city of Fresno from basketball to soccer so check early and see what they are offering. Sports teams and classes typically fill up early and not all of them are indoors.
When the kids have the itch to have just plain fun with games and rides there are many options around California for parks, but again you’ll likely be dealing with intense heat.
This leads us to the idea of kids indoor parks and playgrounds. We consider these to be a “must-have” in California. Fortunately, John’s Incredible Pizza Co. is the perfect “indoor” fun place.
Here’s what you get and why we and our friends like it so much:
- You’re not going to run out of space or things to do here. John’s is easily the largest indoor fun place for kids anywhere.
- They have indoor rides. Yes, these are real indoor rides for kids, like the twister that spins you around at what feels like several hundred miles per hour and the coolest bumper car setup we’ve seen.
- The latest interactive games and video games
- Multiple dining rooms each with their own theme. Themes range from sports to cartoons and each is easily the size of a standard restaurant.
The reason for multiple dining rooms would be the all-you-can-eat-buffet. The buffet ties the rides for our favorite part of John’s. Simply said they have more pizza flavors than you can imagine, tons of pasta variations and a fantastic salad bar for those seeking something a little lighter. Of course if you dine on the salad bar you’ll have room for the all-you-can-eat dessert section.
This Summer, starting Memorial Day 2010, make John’s Pizza part of your plans!

Search engine placement has changed drastically since our case study with Google in 2004. The problem with the vast majority of marketing is that it is not only too expensive but it also doesn't work. Our methods are radically different, an avant-garde approach that not only brings business to our vendors but also eliminates the confusion of on-line search results.
