School is out, Summer is here which means it’s time to set up activities for your kids. There are a wide range of children’s activities with the two most general categories being indoor and outdoor.
Outdoor activities range from Summer camps to swimming at home or just a simple walk with the family. Kid’s outdoor activities are obviously great but can only occur when weather permits. In Southern California it may seem like the weather is always sunny and nice but the reality is that many days are either too hot for outdoor activities or the wind becomes a factor, particularly around the Victoria Gardens mall in Rancho Cucamonga.
Many of these outdoor activities, particularly the family walks and swimming days are planned the day of the event eliminating the worry of weather interfering. However, other events like kid’s birthday parties and other group events and get-togethers require advance notice to guests, at least a couple of weeks. With this, the weather could definitely get in the way so consider indoor activity ideas for the kids instead, then you’re guaranteed to have a comfortable event for everyone involved.
There are a wide range of children’s indoor activities from sports camps, like those offered through the city of Rancho Cucamonga, to bounce houses and kid’s gym classes. These activities are fantastic and create a great environment for the kids to have physical activity. But then there are the arts, which range from music lessons to kid’s arts and crafts, which is a general category that offers great things for your children. Summer is the perfect time to engage your children in some of these kid’s art activities and fun things to do.
Children’s crafts are obviously for both boys and girls. In fact, growing up the only craft I really enjoyed was ceramic pottery. Through high school ceramics class was by far the favorite. We threw our own pottery, fired them in the kiln then later painted them any way we liked. It was really fun and I had often thought about doing it again as a break from my daily work and to relax. But the thought of buying the materials to accomplish this created a barrier, and where would I find a kiln? I certainly was not in the market to buy one and have it in the house.
A shop at Victoria Gardens mall solved this problem for me but it also created great opportunities for our kids. Color Me Mine of Rancho Cucamonga is located at the mall just across from PF Changs restaurant and next to Pink Berry frozen yogurt.
Color Me Mine is a unique idea for parents and kids where the pottery has already been created and is ready to go for painting. Basically you enter the store and choose from hundreds of ceramic pottery pieces to paint. They have everything you can dream of from mugs to platters, animals and more. Whatever your interest you’ll find something that works for you and your kids.
This indoor kid’s activity is perfect of a variety of reasons. It’s a great bonding time for parents and their kids where the environment is calm and focused. This differs from other kid’s activities that can be a bit wild. You’ll have the opportunity to sit, be creative and really relax while also learning a new craft. It’s quite engaging for everyone and can easily consume a couple of hours, though the time goes quickly.
Another great aspect of Color Me Mine at Victoria Gardens mall is the location. The mall in itself offers many things to keep a family busy from concerts and movies in the park to great retail stores and the best selection of restaurants anywhere in the Inland Empire.
This great selection of restaurants does have it’s drawback though. They are quite busy, which means on a holiday or weekend evening you could easily be looking at a 2-3 hour wait. Fortunately, most of the restaurants offer electronic devices so they can call you when your table is ready. One idea while you’re waiting, whether you’re with the kids or not is to take a seat at Color Me Mine and make your own ceramic creation. You’ll be surprised how quickly the wait for your dinner goes by while your engaged in this relaxing environment. The other really nice part to this is you don’t need to worry about carrying your new ceramic art around, it stays with the store so they can fire it. You’ll pick it up several days later at your convenience.
Summer is a great time for kids and family activities. We’ve found that Victoria Gardens mall offers so much to a family even kid’s arts and crafts.

Search engine placement has changed drastically since our case study with Google in 2004. The problem with the vast majority of marketing is that it is not only too expensive but it also doesn't work. Alpha Six's methods are radically different, an avant-garde approach that not only brings business to our vendors but also eliminates the confusion of on-line search results.
